Stitching Sashiko Designs

Join me for an afternoon of learning the Japanese tradition of sashiko stitching. Sashiko is a running stitch used to mend, reinforce and embellish garments. This can be applied to a pocket, a patch, the back of a shirt or jacket or any garment you would like to embellish. We will begin by making a traditional sashiko thimble and begin stitching on a small bag. All supplies are provided. You can also bring an article of clothing to work on such as a pair of jeans jacket or tote.
